Sridevi is making a grand come back with 'English Vinglish', a film directed by Gauri Shinde (also, produced by her husband R. Balki of Paa fame). The first look trailer trended right on top on twitter today, indicating that audience has already shown green signal. English Vinglish releases with mighty Heroine (starring Kareena Kapoor) on September 21, 2012. Both are heroine centric films and it remains to be seen who comes out with flying colors.
English Vinglish is the comeback vehicle of yesterday's super star Sridevi. After marrying producer Boney Kapoor (also Anil Kapoor's brother) and having 2 kids, Sridevi quit Bollywood focussing on her blissful life as a house wife. However, unlike many other retired Bollywood actresses, Sridevi didn't put on weight and hence she always looked fit for movies. After several years, she is finally making her comback with a movie to be directed by R. Balki's (who directed Paa & Cheeni Kum) wife Shinde. Balki is the producer of the film.
